Scope of NELP
Mission, B.C.
Mission NELP primarily operated for 8 years at West Heights Elementary School in Mission, BC. until the onset of COVID. This program partnered with School District #75, Mission. The district covered copying costs and provided physical facilities and liability insurance for participants. NELP provided free meals and daycare for families enrolled in NELP.
While NELP in Mission and Vancouver ended at the onset of COVID, Dr. Patten continues to deliver workshops to other groups, such as foster parents, aboriginal parents and elders, psychologists, childcare workers, elementary school students, and organizations that want to improve employee well-being. She also actively maintains this website with up-to-date neuroscientific research, especially in the Related Links.
Vancouver, B.C.
Vancouver, NELP was operated at several different agencies including neighborhood houses, non-profit organizations and resource centers. The various agencies provided physical facilities and liability insurance for the participants. Sadly, this program ended with the onset of COVID.

Vancouver NELP ended at the onset of COVID. However, this nelp.ca site is maintained and added to each week by Dr. Patten.
